Summer 2020 Virtual Organ Recitals
Weekly Premieres at 12:15 pm on Tuesdays, July 7 through August 4 Virtual Organ Recitals to continue Sioux Trails AGO Summertime Tradition The Sioux Trails Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will continue its summertime tradition of hosting weekly organ recitals in 2020, but this year with a twist. Five local musicians will present virtual organ concerts online, so that local audiences can still enjoy the magnificent sound of the pipe organ, while maintaining safe COVID-19 precautions for the summer. A new recital will premiere each week at 12:15 pm on Tuesdays, beginning July 7 and continuing through August 4. The recitals may be viewed on Facebook or YouTube. A unique aspect of the online recitals is that each performer will be using the instrument at their own church. Audiences will get to hear and see five different organs this summer! The schedule for performances and recitalists is as follows: July 7 Grace Kunkel, Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Mankato July 14 Tom Andrews and Fr.
