David Fienen
David Fienen is Emeritus Professor of Music and former Provost at Gustavus Adolphus College, where he was also Cantor at Christ Chapel. In addition to performances around the mid-West, he has played organ recitals in Lübeck, Lutherstadt-Wittenberg, Berlin, around North Germany, and as organ/piano soloist on tours with the Gustavus Brass and Gustavus Wind Orchestra in Central Europe. He has been keyboardist (piano, organ, harpsichord, and celeste) with the Mankato Symphony since 1988, and also appeared as soloist with the MSO in organ concertos by Salieri and Poulenc, the Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony, as well as the Fifth Brandenburg Concerto. In retirement he is collaborative pianist/organist with Musicorum, Minnesota Valley Chorale, the St. Peter Choral Society, and is a freelance church musician in the Twin Cities and the local area. |
