meet the performers

Chad Winterfeldt

Dr. Chad Winterfeldt is Cantor of Christ Chapel at Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota (USA), where he oversees music in the chapel, teaches music theory and church music, directs the handbell ensembles, and maintains an active organ studio.  In addition, he is Director of Music Ministry at Grace University Lutheran Church on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis.  He holds degrees from the University of Nebraska, Yale University, and Concordia College, Moorhead.  A frequent recitalist, he has performed internationally for the 2019 Early Music Festival in Wittenberg, Germany, and in solo performances in Leipzig (Thomaskirche) and Naumburg (Wenzelskirche), Germany.  In the U.S. he has presented recitals of Messiaen’s La Nativité and Bach’s Leipzig Chorales. He collaborates often with the choirs at Gustavus Adolphus College and enjoys liturgical playing for various worship services.
